AskVerity is proud to be working with a fantastic family owned hotel and golf course based on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon as the search for a new Housekeeper Supervisor to join their vibrant and dedicated team.

About The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper Supervisor to join their team. This hands-on role involves supervising the housekeeping operations across the 32 bedrooms, public areas, and supporting their busy wedding venue. The successful candidate will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation while managing and developing the housekeeping team.

Key Duties

  • Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional standards
  • Create and manage staff rotas ensuring adequate coverage across all areas
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and development
  • Handle staff performance issues and disciplinary matters when required
  • Assist with recruitment and induction of new housekeeping team members
  • Oversee daily cleaning operations across all 32 bedrooms, ensuring rooms are guest-ready
  • Maintain pristine standards in all public areas including reception, restaurant, bar, and golf club facilities
  • Support preparation and post-event cleaning for The Meadow Barn wedding venue
  • Conduct thorough room inspections and quality checks before guest arrival
  • Manage housekeeping inventory, ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
  • Implement and maintain health and safety protocols across all areas
  • Work alongside the team during busy periods, personally cleaning rooms and public areas
  • Cover staff absences and provide practical support where needed
  • Respond immediately to urgent cleaning requests and guest concerns
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and seasonal maintenance as required
  • Ensure all guest requests relating to housekeeping are handled promptly and professionally
  • Maintain lost property procedures and liaise with reception regarding guest belongings
  • Address any guest complaints regarding room or facility cleanliness

 

Your Experience

 

  • Previous experience in housekeeping supervision is crucial, preferably gained in hotels
  • Proven track record of maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach
  • Physical ability to perform hands-on cleaning duties when required
  • Good communication skills and professional demeanour with guests and colleagues
  • Flexible approach to working hours including weekends and bank holidays
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
